Browse dates, not profiles.

The Reserv is a marketplace of real dinner plans. See the restaurant, the night, and the open seat — then create a date of your own or request to join one.

Under 30 seconds. No profile required yet.

Why The Reserv exists

  • Three weeks of “talking” isn’t dating.
  • “We should grab drinks soon” is not a plan.
  • Another Tuesday of swiping is not a night out.

Here, the date exists before the small talk.

The marketplace

Every plan starts with a real reservation.

No feeds of faces. You browse actual dinner plans — the restaurant, the night, the time, the open seat — and pick the one you want to be at.

Hosts book the table first — every plan is anchored to a verified reservation before it goes live.

How it works

Two ways to the same table.

Host the night you want, or take a seat at one that’s already planned. Either way, chat only opens once you’re both in.

01 · Host

Create a date

Start with the table. Choose who joins it.

  1. 01

    Design the night

Pick the restaurant, the date, the time, and the party size. You’re the host — the night is yours to set.

  2. 02

    Book the table

Make the reservation and The Reserv verifies it. No plan goes live on a maybe.

  3. 03

    Publish your plan

Your dinner goes up on the marketplace — restaurant, night, and the open seat across from you.

  4. 04

    Review requests

People who want in request the seat. Look through who raised their hand, on your time.

  5. 05

    Accept your guest

Choose who joins you. One yes, and the table is set.

  6. 06

    Chat opens

Only after you accept — so the first message already has a where and a when.

02 · Guest

Join a date

The plan already exists. Claim the seat.

  1. 01

    Browse open plans

Real dinners around Austin, each with the restaurant, night, and time already locked.

  2. 02

    Find your night

Filter by date, cuisine, or neighborhood until one feels like yours.

  3. 03

    Request the seat

One tap. The host reviews your profile and decides who joins the table.

  4. 04

    The host accepts

You’re in. The reservation already exists — nothing left to negotiate.

  5. 05

    Chat opens

With a date already on the calendar. Show up hungry.

After the yes

Less messaging. More meeting.

Chat opens only once the host accepts — so every conversation starts with a place, a time, and a table waiting. No pen pals. No “so… what are you looking for.”

The details

Good to know before you sit down.

  • Reservations are real

Hosts book the table first, and The Reserv confirms the reservation before a plan goes live on the marketplace. No plan goes up on a maybe.

  • We don't book the meal

The Reserv is not a reservation service or a restaurant. Hosts book directly with the restaurant, and you settle the bill with the restaurant like any other dinner.

  • Money talk, handled early

Every plan shows the host's payment preference — split the bill, host covers, or guest covers — before anyone requests a seat. No end-of-dinner ambiguity.

  • Mutual choice, always

Guests choose the plan they want. Hosts choose the guest they want. Nobody lands at a table they did not pick.

Questions

Fair questions, straight answers.

What is The Reserv?

The Reserv is a plan-first dating app built around a marketplace of real dinner dates. Instead of endless profile browsing, you browse actual plans — the restaurant, the date, the time, and an open seat — then create a plan of your own or request to join one. It is launching first in Austin, Texas.

How is The Reserv different from traditional dating apps?

Most dating apps start with swiping and hope a date eventually happens. On The Reserv the date exists first: every plan is anchored to a real restaurant reservation before it goes live. You pick an actual night out, the host chooses who joins them, and chat only opens once a request is accepted.

How do I create a dinner date?

Pick the restaurant, the date, the time, and the party size, then book the table. The Reserv confirms your reservation before the plan is published to the marketplace. Once it is live, people can request the open seat and you decide who joins you.

How do I request to join a date?

Browse open plans in the app, find a night you want to be part of, and request the seat. The host reviews requests and chooses who they want to meet. If they accept you, the date is set — the reservation already exists.

When does chat open?

Chat opens only after the host accepts a request. Every conversation starts with a real plan already in place — a restaurant, a date, and a time — instead of weeks of small talk.

Do I need my own reservation to join someone else's plan?

No. The host makes and holds the reservation. As a guest you request the open seat, and if the host accepts, your place at the table is part of their existing booking.

Who pays for dinner?

Each plan shows the host's payment preference — split the bill, host covers, or guest covers — so expectations are clear before anyone requests a seat. The Reserv does not book or sell the meal and does not process the dinner bill; you settle with the restaurant like any other night out.

Is The Reserv available outside Austin?

Not yet. The Reserv is launching first in Austin, Texas, one neighborhood of restaurants at a time. When you join the waitlist you can tell us which city you are in, and that helps decide where The Reserv goes next.

What safety tools does The Reserv currently provide?

Dates happen at public restaurants, hosts review and choose who joins them, and the app includes in-app reporting, blocking, and account deletion. The Reserv is for adults 18 and older. The Reserv does not run background checks and cannot guarantee that a user is who they claim to be, so it is still smart to tell someone you trust where you are going.
